    RMJG40 - Standard Slide Translation (Recommended):

    • A specially designed inner sliding ring with minimized contact points ensures smooth and precise movement of the inner rods through the shaft, enabling effortless sample transfer. This highly durable design is ideal for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) environments and is our recommended version.

    RMDG40 - Dry Lubricated Ball Bearing Translation:

    • This version utilizes sapphire hybrid ball bearings with a Dicronite (WS2) dry lubricant coating to ensure smooth and precise rod translation within the shaft. It is recommended exclusively for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications where minimal outgassing is paramount.

    Both the RMJG40 (Recommended) and RMDG40 are available in standard lengths or can be customized to your specifications.

  • This heavy-duty sample transporter is a manual sample transfer rod with dual rotary motion, enabling precise control and manipulation of active end-effectors in UHV environments.

    Features:

    • Dual Rotary Design: Independent control of inner and outer shafts allows for the operation of active end-effectors such as pincers, wafer lifting gear, and rotatable sample platforms.
      • Turning one air-side magnet against the other drives the installed end-effector.
      • Rotating both magnets simultaneously rotates the end-effector around the linear axis.
    • Magnetic Coupling: Two sets of rare earth magnets ensure a rigid connection between the handles and the shafts.
    • Smooth Operation: The outer shaft is guided by slide bearings, and the inner shaft is held by sapphire hybrid ball bearings.

    This is the version you're looking for if you need to both operate and rotate the end effector.
