    Important Recommendation:
    To prevent cold welding, we strongly advise against selecting the sample receiver and screws made from the same material, as this may cause the parts to fuse together in UHV environments, making disassembly impossible.

  • Ferrovac drawer style receivers provide a dependable and versatile solution as transfer end-stations or parking slots for flag style sample plates (SHOM).

    • Secure Sample Plate Retention: Achieved through spring-loaded ruby sphere clamps.

    Constructed from a single block and utilizing spring-loaded ruby spheres, these receivers offer robust plate retention and material versatility for diverse applications (see Product Configuration).

    The design includes threads and screw-holes for flat mounting, as well as threaded holes on the side to affix the receiver perpendicular to the mounting surface.

    The receiver can be Dicronite™ dry lube coated to reduce sticking and seizing effects.

    • Retention Mechanism: Two ruby spheres and leaf springs.
    • Mounting Connection:
      • Flat Mounting: 2x M2 threaded holes and 2x profile bores for M2 screws.
      • Perpendicular Mounting: 2x M2 threaded holes on each side.
